ISF 10+2
The Delco Group, Ltd is in full compliance with US Customs Importer Security
Filing requirements, also called 10+2 or ISF10, and we have guided many of
our clients through these regulations. On January 26, 2010 US Customs &
Border Protection no longer is giving leniency under their "flexible
enforcement period" and fines can range up to $5,000.00 per violation for an
inaccurate, incomplete or untimely filing. Vessel operators can face
similar penalties for accepting any containers on their vessels that do not
have the proper ISF confirmation code from US Customs and will delay
shipments before subjecting themselves to potential penalties. Our ISF
filings are done through US Customs AMS system at the foreign origin which
benefits our clients in that the collection of data, submission of data and
receipt of ISF confirmation are all done at the earliest possible time which
often can be the difference between getting freight on the intended vessel
or a vessel operator rolling a shipment. Our expertise with this
governmental regulation allows this to be a seamless step that our clients
can trust we are taking on their behalf with no extra work required by our
clients.
